DIMAPUR, NOV 9 (NPN): Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) has expressed shock and disappointment at the statement of WC, NNPGs, which blamed the convenor and co-convenor of Public Action Committee (PAC) of Naga Council Dimapur (NCD).

In a press release, CPO president, Mikha Kenye, and general secretary, Veduvo Rhakho, said that “creating another cycle of threat and intimidation” at a time when the tribal hohos have extended their support for logical conclusion of the political negotiations was “totally uncalled for and very unfortunate.”

CPO said that PAC has, “in fact”, taken the task in public interest, which otherwise was the job of the government to tackle such law and order problem.

Stating that PAC has mass support in handling this particular problem, CPO said “This plainly indicates that the WC, NNPGs cannot afford to take public for granted in giving public support for political talks.”

Further, CPO asserted that the “provocative” press statement runs the risk of even “derailing the agreement that was awaiting for final seal.”

Chakhesang Public Organisation has appealed to WC, NNPGs to retract from their instant statement and exercise restrain even in future for the larger interest of peace.

“Whatever humane problems they are facing should be discussed across the table to find humane solution through mutual understanding,” CPO maintained.
