‘When Will Willow Die?’ by Merasen-na Jamir released

Dimapur, October 26 (MExN): A book titled ‘When Will Willow Die?’ by Merasen-na Jamir was released at Tourist Lodge, Dimapur on October 21.

Realising the book, Elongshila Jamir, a poet and an author said that the book is a novella with characters that are so alike each other yet they remain different. This is one of the artistic abilities that the author holds, adorning them with developments with events and plots that proceed yet coming back to the same circle, to the same question that is next and to the title itself when will willow die?

Jamir further stated that there is this entanglement and tension between fate and will in the book. It is the readers’ quest, what will Willow give in to- the fate that is written for all of us or the will that is not so embellished with perseverance in the story.
In her speech, the author said that she has gone through challenging period in life and thanked her parents and brother, who has always taught her to turn her emotions, both pain and joy, into something giving and healing.

At present Merasen-na Jamir is pursuing her M.Sc in Counseling Psychology and advocates awareness about mental health through her works. ‘When Will Willow Die?’ is published by Heritage Publishing House, Dimapur and this is her 4th book. The book is available at Heritage Publishing House, Dimapur.
