Kohima, April 15 (MExN): In view of the second wave of COVID-19 in the country, Governor of Nagaland, RN Ravi held a sensitization-cum-consultation meeting with all the tribal hoho leaders of the State at Dr Imkongliba Hall, Raj Bhavan on April 14.
During the meeting, the Governor observed that COVID-19 pandemic cannot be successfully fought by the Government alone and cooperation of the tribal leaders is crucial. Therefore, he urged the community leaders to encourage and ensure people to observe COVID-19 appropriate behaviours.
The PRO to Governor in a press release said that Ravi appreciated the practical suggestions given by the tribal leaders based on their experiences and observations. “The suggestions will be conveyed to the State Government for necessary action,” it stated.
Earlier, the Governor recalled the significant contributions of the tribal leaders and their cooperation with State Government in combating the first wave of COVID-19.
It also informed that the Governor will meet GBs, Church leaders and leaders of other faith based organizations in the State in coming days.
