The Rengma Wrestling Association (RWA) with the support of Rengma Sports’ Association today conducted 1st Open Ngada Mini Hornbill Naga Wrestling Championship 2024 at RSA Ground, Tseminyu.
This event was among the many indigenous games held in coinciding with Ngada festival at Tseminyu.
Sotilo Seb, representing Tesophenyu Union emerged the champion while Acheno Semy (Kasha Daho), Jochuhyu Semy (Phenshunyu Lojvu) and Shanilo Kath (Tesophenyu Union) stood in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th position respectively.
RWA president, Ruchuyhung Seb said that the winners will be representing RWA at the upcoming 17th International Hornbill Naga Wrestling Championship 2024, scheduled for December 4 in Kohima.
Seb thanked Nagaland Wrestling Association for their support towards the promotion of Naga style wrestling in Rengma region. Altogether, 17 wrestlers participated at the meet.
