Seven cooks remain to battle it out for Naga Chef Title
Dimapur, November 21 (MExN): The Naga Chef Season 11, organised by Synergy Group Enterprise in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, is in full swing at Urban Haat, Dimapur. This celebrated culinary competition showcases the rich flavors and unique culinary traditions of Nagaland.
The journey began with 10 talented contestants and after intense rounds of competition seven participants remain to battle it out for the coveted title- Naga Chef. Today’s challenge, the Pressure Round, pushed the contestants to their limits, testing their creativity and resilience under strict time constraints.
The participants were judged on cooking skills, knowledge of food, authenticity, taste and presentation, ensuring that only the finest culinary talent advances in the competition.
At the end of this round, the Top 4 contestants will earn the honour of representing their skills at the Hornbill Festival, held at the iconic Naga Heritage Village, Kisama, from December 1 to 10. This opportunity provides a prestigious platform to showcase their expertise to a larger audience during Nagaland’s premier cultural event.
The contestants will each manage their own stall, showcasing their culinary creations while demonstrating entrepreneurial acumen. Their performance will be evaluated based on their innovation, business skills, and customer engagement. The ultimate winner will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh.
The judges of the competition are Nuneseno Chase, Director of Youthnet; Vekutholü Vero, Founder of Hetika Kitchen; and Sentila T Yanger, Padma Shree award recipient and State Convenor of INTACH Nagaland Chapter.
