Mokokchung, June 10 (MExN): The Government High School (GHS) Saring village, under Longchem HQ in Mokokchung district has achieved 100 percent result in HSLC examination for the fourth year straight.
“Maintaining a winning streak for the fourth consecutive year has not been an easy road. We faced many obstacles and hardships but we overcame it all, through concerted effort of everyone involved,” Imkongyapang, Headmaster in charge, GHS Saring shared in a press release.
GHS Saring is located in Saringyim village under Mokokchung district bordering Assam. It is 35 kms away from Mangkolemba and 19 kms from Mariani, Assam. GPS Saring was established in 1969, upgraded to GMS in 2002 and upgraded to High School in 2016 under RMSA. It marked its maiden HSLC appearance in 2019.
“GHS Saring is a composite school (class A-10) but there are only 13 teachers with No 4th grades or clerical staffs,” informed Imkongyapang.
“It is well known to all that RMSA teachers are underpaid and their salary is held up for months. But despite being underpaid, the teachers are going above and beyond and overworking themselves because of the school being extremely understaffed,” he also highlighted. “Hitting the Bullseye for the fourth time was achieved only due to total dedication and devotion by the teachers,” he added.
