COVID-19 vaccination drives conducted in various districts

DIMAPUR , July 13: Vaccination Mela for COVID-19 vaccine was held on July 11 at Town Hall, Tuensang under the initiative of the district administration and medical department.

According to DIPR report, SDO (C) Tuensang, Shelley Katiry in his brief speech shared on the importance and safety of COVID-19 vaccine.

Special vaccination drive at Kiphire: Kiphire district task force (DTF) on COVID-19 in collaboration with 41 Assam Rifles Kiphire carried out a special vaccination drive for 18-44 years and 45 years above on July 11 at Deluxe point, Kiphire.

During the drive, 143 beneficiaries were vaccinated. The medical team was led by VCCM (UNDP), CMO Office, Herole Y and 41Assam Rifles CMO, Dr. S. Vaiphei Kiphire.

Special vaccination camps to be held in Mon: DC Mon, Thavaseelan K has informed that special COVID-19 vaccination camps would be conducted in all the wards of Mon town 10 a.m. onwards.

The vaccination camp would be conducted at Techahan ward GMS D and Shantham ward GHS ‘C’ on July 13; Jahjon Ward GHSS ‘D’ and Tanlao Ward GMS ‘A’ on July 14; Walo Ward Residence of Minpho

(Mission house) and Thamnan Ward GPS ‘B’ near Helipad on July 15; Zaklom Ward New Site Fellowship and Shamnyu Ward Residence of Lopai (Mission House) on July 16 and Chingai Ward

Industry Office Compound on July 17.

The DC has informed that vaccination would be conducted for all the eligible beneficiaries above the age of 18 for both first and second doses. All the beneficiaries have been asked to bring their photo IDs and respective ward task forces have been directed to mobilise beneficiaries within their wards, organise all logistics such as venue & seating arrangements, detail volunteers and ensure that all COVID-19 appropriate behaviour are strictly followed on the day of the vaccination camp.
