DIMAPUR, FEB 10 (NPN) : Clearing the rockslide area at Pagalapahar/Kukidolong stretch of NH-29 can take up to two more weeks. This was conveyed by general manager of ECI Engineering to adviser National Highways and Treasuries & Accounts, Dr Longrineken and PWD (NH) chief engineer and officials all of whom visit the area on Wednesday.
The rockslide occurred between km 127+020 and km 127+200, effecting a total length of 180 metre.
The area mostly comprises of soft rocks and blasting at about 80 metre high at many locations during excavation causes rockslides.
ECI said it could take around two weeks to clear the critical hanging rocks at the top and remaining uncut portion.
