Dimapur, March 27 (MExN): A one-day carrier guidance programme under the theme ‘Education with goals to serve,’ for UPSC, NPSC, CAPF and other departmental examinations was held in Longleng through the collaboration of district administration, police and Phom Students Conference on March 25 at PSC Conference Hall, Longleng.
As per to a DIPR report received here on Sunday, Dr Samuel Konyak, EAC Longleng stated that every individual, regardless of educational background, has equal opportunity to get through the examinations. According to him, anyone who tries to enter government services to impress somebody or seeking prestige for the family or village has the wrong intention. One should get into service with the intention of serving the people and the State, he emphasized.
Longleng Superintendent of Police Dr Pritpal Kaur encouraged the participants to have strong will power and determination to work hard. Noting that ‘enemies won’t come around holding guns’ but would instead come in the form of corruption, easy money, laziness, alcohol, drugs, jealousy etc., she called on the gathering to eradicate these enemies.
The DIPR informed that Dr Konyak and Dr Kaur taught strategies to prepare and appear for various entrance exams. Philip, Literature Secretary, PBCA, also spoke at the programme which was attended by approximately 80 students.
