DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 8 (MExN): The Bible Society of India (BSI) Dimapur Auxiliary marked its 39th Foundation Day with a special observance, reflecting on nearly four decades of service in spreading God’s Word across the region.

In a solemn gathering, the BSI Dimapur Auxiliary gave thanks to God for His guidance and support in their ministry since its inauguration on November 6, 1985, at Lotha Baptist Church. The occasion highlighted the significant contributions of individuals, churches, and branches in helping the organization provide accessible Scriptures to local communities.

The BSI Dimapur Auxiliary has achieved remarkable milestones in its mission. To date, the Auxiliary has produced 47 full Bibles, 13 New Testaments, 2 Audio Bibles, one Sign Language Bible, and three Braille New Testaments. These efforts have been made possible through the continued support of 54 branches and churches across the region, whose members play a crucial role as the backbone of the organization, a press release issued by Rev Dr Yiepetso Wezah, Auciliary Secretary, BSI Dimapur stated.

During the celebration, staff members of the BSI Dimapur Auxiliary offered prayers of gratitude for the pioneers and office bearers of the various branches, as well as for the success of the ministry that has touched countless lives.

Rev Dr Yiepetso Wezah, underscored that Jesus Christ is the foundation of the Bible Society’s work, with the organization’s mission centered on making God’s Word available in languages and formats that people can understand. “There are still many language groups who have not received the Word of God in their heart languages,” Rev Wezah stated, emphasizing the need for continued support from churches and believers to reach the unreached.
