‘Bharat Scout & Guides not a religious or political movement’

Mokokchung District Bharat Scout and Guides (BSG) held its induction ceremony at the DC Conference Hall, Mokokchung, on 14 September. The induction ceremony was done for District President BSG, Secretary, BSG, District Commissioner (Scout) and District Chief Commissioner.

Deputy Commissioner, Tsüvisie Phoji, was inducted as District Secretary, BSG Mokokchung. Jonglemdong Lkr, Senior Sub-divisional Education Officer, was inducted as District Secretary, BSG Mokokchung and Anguvito Sumi, District Sports Officer, was inducted and reaffirmed as District Commissioner (Scout), while Sentinenla, District Education Officer, was inducted as District Chief Commissioner.

Phoji, while exhorting the gathering, envisioned the 75th year celebration of Bharat Scouts and Guides and urged the present members to strive forward and encourage more students to be members of BSG. He also suggested that more schools and educational institutes that are not enrolled should also be encouraged to become members of BSG.

“Bharat Scout and Guides is not a religious or political movement. It has no barrier on any ground. In fact, it is the medium that can build bridges,” said the Deputy Commissioner.

Earlier, the welcome address was delivered by Tovili Wati, DOC (Guides) and brief speech about Bharat Scout and Guides was presented by Imlisunep ASOC (Scout).
