DIMAPUR, AUG 26 (NPN) : Nagaland on August 26 registered 26 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking the state’s tally to 3778– 1149 active, 2611 recovered, 9 deaths and 9 migrated.
According to Health minister, S. Pangnyu Phom 26 fresh COVID-19 positive were reported in the state out of 627 samples tested.
In a tweet, he said 20 cases were detected in Kohima, 4 in Dimapur and 2 in Mokokchung.
A Health department official informed that the August 26 bulletin update on COVID-19 was not available due to the 24-hour total shutdown called by the Nagaland In-service Doctors Association. The tally of August 26 will be complied with the August 27 report, the official added.
India’s COVID tally crosses 32L-mark
PTI adds: India’s COVID-19 tally rose to 32.34 lakh Wednesday with 67,151 more people testing positive for the infection, while the recoveries have surged to 24,67,758, the Health Ministry said.
The death toll from the virus climbed to 59,449 with 1,059 more fatalities. The recovery rate rose to 76.30%, while the case fatality rate has declined to 1.84%, the ministry said.
