Units of pvt hospitals, bank, buildings sealed in Dimapur

DIMAPUR, JUL 19 (NPN): Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, Anoop Khinchi Sunday issued orders, directing temporary sealing of several health care units, residences and sealing of SBI Bazaar branch in Dimapur with immediate effect till further orders.



The following have been temporarily sealed: Shamrock Hospital, ICU and emergency ward of Nikos Hospital; ICU block, Eden Hospital; House No. 15, Ward-18, Zeliangrong colony (Dhobinalla) and nearby buildings.

 

Further, DC has ordered immediate sealing of State Bank of India, Bazaar branch (Dhobinalla) and SBI staff quarter Block-C at bank colony.

 

The orders were issued as precautionary measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 following detection of positive cases.DC warned that any person/s violating the containment measures would face legal action.

 

Wards under 3 colonies in Kohima town sealed

KOHIMA, JUL 19 (NPN): Following detection of four fresh COVID-19 positive cases in the state capital Sunday, deputy commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie has ordered sealing of wards in three colonies.


In his report to the state government, the DC said that 2 positive cases were reported from Naga Bazaar colony (Ward 4), 1 each from D-Block (Ward 6) and Lower Chandmari (Ward 13). In this regard, DC said these areas were “demarcated as sealed area” in order to contain the spread of COVID-19 and for necessary contact tracing. Any movement within the sealed areas have been prohibited and under active surveillance with immediate effect.


Further, Health department officials informed that two more cases were reported Sunday– one each at Jakhama (military) and K. Badze quarantine centres.
