Discourages students to form unions and syndicate system
Dimapur, November 3 (MExN): “Nagaland is suffering because literate people are not willing to work,” said Minister for Higher Education & Tourism, Temjen Imna Along, stated a DIPR report.
The Minister said this while addressing at the concluding session of All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) Collegiate meet on November 1 that begin on October 29 at Livingstone Foundation International College (LFI), Dimapur where he attended as the chief host of the event.
“The State Government has only 88 departments but there is not less than 10-15 thousands union in our state,” said the Minister, and he discouraged the students to form unions and syndicate system. The Minister also stated that tribal students’ unions in the colleges should do away because one apex college students’ union will serve the needs and purpose of all the students in that particular college.
Digital platform have enable us to access to the whole earth, and students being part and parcel of the University of Social Media like WhatsApp, Instagram, etc. should be knowledgeable and resonant what is positive. “Randomly posting something what we think without having proper knowledge will only bring chaos in our society,” said Imna.
In regards to students’ scholarship, Imna advised the students not to rush to the internet cafe to fill the forms rather get advised from the respective teachers and professors who is incharge of the particular colleges.
The Minister also said that students should learn from one another and being the dreams and aspirations of the parents & community, the students should work together and inclusively for everyone so that our state will prosper.
Honoured Guest, Dr Hiteshwar Baruah, Managing Director Nemcare Hospital, Guwahati, in his short speech, stated that students does not only have the will power to do something good for the society but also have the responsibilities to make a better world.
Earlier, words of encouragement were also delivered by Director, Livingstone Foundation International, Ani Yepthomi and welcome note was delivered by Information & Publicity Secretary, ANCSU, Kivika Yeptho.
