NH-29 partially opened for emergencies

KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 7 (MExN): All efforts are being made to restore the roads and bring normality to the disaster-hit areas that occurred at National Highway 29 on September 3, a DIPR report informed on Friday. 

With the efforts of NHIDCL authorities and timely intervention of the State Government, an immediate emergency arrangement was made for a single lane of National Highway 29, which was opened and operational with 20 heavy vehicles at one go today on September 6. The state Government is making earnest efforts to restore the roads and bring life to normality, the DIPR report said. 

Meanwhile, Western Sumi Hoho led by the President Shikaho Zhimo and Western Sumi Youth Front led by the President Atokiho Sumi visited the disaster-hit areas at Pherima to show solidarity and sympathize with the people inflicted by the disaster.
