Peren, March 12 (MExN): Lieutenant Hinoto Kakishe Yepthomi, an ex-NCC cadet from Sainik School, Punglwa, Nagaland, has been commissioned in the Indian Army at Officer’s Training Academy, Chennai on March 9. Lieutenant Hinoto, son of Kakishe Yeptho from Vihokhu village, Niuland district, has been commissioned into the 104 Bombay Sappers Regiment of the Indian Army.
“Cadet Hinoto’s unwavering commitment and dedication have been nothing short of exemplary. His journey began at Sainik School Punglwa, where he imbibed the values of discipline, integrity, and service,” Sainik School, Punglwa stated in a press release.
Having cleared the Services Selection Board for SSC TECH entry, Cadet Hinoto embarked on his training journey at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) Chennai in April 2023. “His perseverance and resilience paid off as he emerged as a beacon of hope for aspiring young officers,” it stated.
The Principal, staff, and fellow cadets of Sainik School Punglwa have congratulated Lieutenant Hinoto and his parents. “His commissioning into the Indian Army is a testament to the school’s commitment to nurturing leaders who serve with honour and valour,” it stated while adding, “We salute Lieutenant Hinoto Kakishe Yepthomi and wish him a distinguished and illustrious career in the service of our beloved motherland.”
