Tapi Bye-election: Election observers stationed in Mon

Mon, October 26 (MExN): The three-member Election Observers team, appointed by the Election Commissioner of India (ECI) to oversee the upcoming bye-election to the 43 Tapi Assembly Constituency, has arrived and is currently stationed in Mon. 

The observers arrived in Mon on October 19 and have been deployed to ensure the conduct of the scheduled Bye-Elections in a free, fair, and peaceful manner, stated the Deputy Commissioner and DEO Mon, Ajit Kumar Verma.

The team includes the General Observer, Patibandia Ashok Babu (Contact No. 6009361378), and Expenditure Observer, Ashutosh Yadav (Contact No. 6009399434), both stationed at Walo Guest House, Mon. The Police Observer, K Parashurama (Contact No. 6009395303), is stationed at BRO Guest House, Mon.

Individuals wishing to report election-related violations, lodge complaints, or make any other election-related inquiries may do so between 10 AM and 11 AM at the respective locations of the observers, informed the State DIPR. 

The observers may also be contacted using the provided contact numbers, it added. 

The bye-election to the 43 Tapi AC scheduled on November 7 will witness a straight contest between the ruling Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party’s candidate Wangpang Konyak and Indian National Congress’ Wanglem Konyak. Counting of votes is scheduled on December 3.
