To be held at the Agri Expo, Dimapur on November 17th & 18th, 2017, highlights of the job mela will be the presence of top recruiters from various sectors such as the Airlines, Retail, 5 Star Hotels, Restaurants, Beauty & Wellness, etc participating in the direct recruitment of youths.

A career workshop will also be conducted by industry experts and domain specialist on the opportunities that are available in the private sector. In addition, the participants will also be briefed on how to approach the interview and come out successful.

According to government officials involved in the preparation of the event, the idea is also to encourage the youths in Nagaland to look for opportunities outside of the government sector. For historical and socio-economic reasons, the Government has been the primary sustainable employer in the State.

And with a young enterprising population, the government recognizes that the human resource potential of our youths must be tapped properly so that they can contribute towards making of a stable and prosperous society.

The two day career workshop and job mela is expected to create greater awareness among the youths of the prospects available for them and also to equip them with the right set of tools and knowhow that will enable them to gain access to markets, capital and entrepreneurial skills.
