DIMAPUR, APRIL 12 (MExN): The State of Nagaland, alongwith the rest of the country participated in the Mega Mock Drill conducted on April 10 and 11.
A press release from Dr Vibeituonuo M Sachu, Principal Director, Directorate of Health & Family Welfare said that the mock drill was conducted to take stock of hospital preparedness in regards to drugs, beds, including lCU beds, medical equipment, medical oxygen, capacity building of human resource on existing guidelines as well as vaccination coverage. This is on account of the rising cases of COVID-19 in the country, it added.
The Mock Drill was conducted under the overall guidance of the Health Minister, P Paiwang Konyak; Commissioner & Secretary, H&FW, Kikheto Sema; and the Principal Director, DHFW, Dr Vibeituonuo M Sachu.
The Health Minister, Commissioner & Secretary, and the Principal Director monitored the Mock Drill in Mon district, and were present for site inspection of the upcoming Mon Medical College.
In all the Districts, both Health Units in the Public and Private sector participated with the overall guidance of the respective Deputy Commissioners, Chief Medical Officers, Medical Superintendents, District Surveillance Officers and the District Surveillance Units of the IDSP.
During the last Mock Drill conducted on December 27, 2022, 85 Health Units had participated. This time a total of 193 Health Units participated in the Mega Mock Drill.
