Dimapur, March 30 (MExN): Nagaland is likely to experience light to heavy rainfall activity in the coming week, according to a weather update issued by the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA). The prevailing weather conditions are expected to bring moderate rainfall across the state from March 30 to April 4, with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds with wind speeds of 30 to 40 kmph in certain pockets of districts including Peren, Dimapur, Kohima, Tseminyu, Wokha, Mokokchung, Tuensang, Mon, and Longleng.
The NSDMA, Home Department has urged the public to exercise caution to avoid any eventualities during this period. The NSDMA has also requested all the District Disaster Management Authorities and other line departments to remain alert and take necessary steps to safeguard lives and properties during this monsoon period.
The minimum and maximum temperatures during this period are likely to range between 8°C and 30°C, it added.
