Reliable sources from the state government however confirmed this evening that the State government is fully gearing up for the visit after “a marathon meeting today.” Speaking to The Morung Express over the phone, the source stated that the meeting was attended by the Chief Minister, his cabinet ministers and all the heads of state machineries.
The official added that Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio is also communicating with the PMO for final confirmation.
“We are in a positive anticipation for his visit and the CM and PMO are in touch for the same,” the official said, adding that the confirmation is expected tomorrow.
“If it is confirmed, it will be on 28 of this month and if he is coming, we have decided during the meeting to host him at IG stadium, Kohima,” the official informed.
