WC, NNPGs says ‘meaningful’ meet with Zeliangrong CSOs

Dimapur, June 8 (MExN): The Working Committee, Naga National Political Groups (WC, NNPGs) and the Zeliangrong Baudi (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland), Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) Assam, Manipur Nagaland, and Zeliangrong Students’ Union (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland), Zeliangrong Baudi Manipur had a ‘meaningful’ consultative meet on June 7 in Dimapur.

“The Zeliangrong CSO leaders (AMN) expressed much appreciation to WC, NNPGs for taking on board all Naga tribes beyond Nagaland state. They expressed great hope that since the political negotiations with all Naga groups had concluded on October 31, 2019, Naga people in Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Nagaland would be restored of their identity and political right through honourable and acceptable political solution,” stated a joint press release received here on Tuesday.

The press release was appended by Titus Kamei, Vice President Zeliangrong Baudi (ANM); Poupoklung Kamei, President, Zeliangrong Baudi Manipur State; Henry Chawang, President AZSU (AMN); Lunglailung Malangmei, President, Zeliangrong Youth Front (AMN); and N Kitovi Zhimomi, Convener, WC, NNPGs.

The joint press release further stated that the Zeliangrong CSO leaders from the three states “acknowledged that Agreed Position and subsequent Status Paper of WC, NNPGs has given a transparent and explicit future position of Nagas which is acceptable to all sections.”

Zeliangrong CSO leaders expressed full support and endorsement of WC, NNPGs Agreed Position and urged the WC to bring honourable solution at the earliest, the release stated.
