Executive Engineer (E) Power for Peren Division gets new office building
Peren, April 14 (MExN): Advisor for Water Resources, Namri Nchang today cautioned against theft of power and appealed to the public to utilize electricity judiciously. He was speaking at the inaugural function of the new Executive Engineer (E) Power office building for Peren Division.
The building was inaugurated by special guest, Advisor for Power, H Tovihoto Ayemi on April 12. According to a DIPR report, Advisor Tovihoto called upon the gathering to work in true spirit and full enthusiasm for the public. He urged the public to take care of the properties with a sense of belongingness, adding that the new building is one of the finest amongst the office buildings.
Principal Secretary, Power, KD Vizo said that the State has to strive for sustainable development goals and encouraged the private enterprises to come forward in the ventures of the Government. Vizo suggested for alternative power like solar and wind. He called upon the people to understand the difficulties faced by the Department in times of natural calamities. He lamented at the reluctance of the public in paying the electric bills.
Chief Engineer (D&R) Moa Aier, in his speech mentioned that the new office building is located at a prime location with various facilities. He appealed to the public for their cooperation in their future endeavors. Engineer-in-Chief (Power), N Mozhui said the Department will serve the public by working for the betterment of the people. He spoke on the need of the department for sufficient power supply.
Additional Chief Engineer (Civil) Visakho Therie, in the technical report informed that it took 32 months for completion for the building. He said that the building was constructed at a cost of Rs 3.11 Crore, which includes the electrification, water and rain harvest and added that the construction for building has no liability.
Additional Chief Engineer (D&R) Tiameren Walling, presided the programme while Additional Chief Engineer (T&G) Penrithung Yanthan, delivered the welcome address. Word of gratitude was proposed by Executive Engineer (E) Tsiamchi Ndang.
The programme was attended by Neiba Ndang, former Speaker, Deputy Commissioner and Additional Superintendent of Police and head of the various departments in the district along with public leaders.
