Highlighting the use of small plastic containers disguised as soap cases to transport heroin across the NorthEast region, Nagaland’s Director General of Police, Rupin Sharma has encouraged citizens to come forward with any information related to these deceptive soap cases.
In a post on X platform, the DGP urged individuals to report not only the trafficking but also details about the manufacturing and procurement of these deceptive containers. His post also mentioned that “rewards may also be given.”
Through the attention-grabbing post, the DGP was revealing on the clandestine method on how heroin was being trafficked in the North-East by drug traffickers by stuffing them in plastic containers resembling soap cases.
“In #Nagaland, #Manipur, #Assam, #Meghalaya, and Mizoram, #Heroin is trafficked in small boxes called #Soapcases. Anyone providing information on #Soapcases (even empty soapcases) where these are manufactured /procured will be useful & #Rewards may be given,” the DGP posted on X.
