Stating that there are many unresolved issues in the Naga society for too many decades, Nagaland Power & Parliamentary Affairs Minister, KG Kenye said a herculean task lies ahead to resolve the issues with boldness and courageousness.

Kenye expressed deep concern about the ongoing divisions within the Naga community, highlighting how issues such as tribalism, political fragmentation, and even religious divides have plagued society for decades.

He stated the unresolved Naga Political issue should not be solely blamed for the fragmentation. The minister observed that the NPGs cannot come together to discuss and talk truthfully and yet maintains Ceasefire with Government of India.

Even if solution comes, Kenye was doubtful that Nagas would be able to live in unity. He therefore called on the younger generation to overcome barriers to live in unity by upholding the age- old traditions and heritage.

Kenye also called upon the faith-based organizations believers to pray for Naga unity. The minister asserted that the essence of honesty and integrity should not be bartered with monetary benefits.
