DIMAPUR, July 26: A felicitation programme for the newly installed officer bearers of Sumi Hoho was organised Sunday by Zunheboto Town Sumi Baptist Church (SBAK-Aizuto).
A press release by Sumi Hoho informed that in his speech, Sumi Hoho president, Nikheto Jimomi said that the main objective of the team was to get back to the root and work to unify the “slowly disintegrating community”. By doing so, he said Sumi can strongly stand for Nagas and for the Christ.
With over three lakh Sumi population, Jimomi said if all Sumi frontal organization supports the Sumi hoho then the hoho could easily bring together all the sections of Sumi together.
He then asserted that the new team would work for the betterment of the community and sought prayer support of the church in the team’s effort to unify Sumis.
In his speech, Sumi Hoho general secretary, Dr. Vihuto Asumi highlighted the importance of church in the society adding that it could play a vital role in building a society.
He also stressed on working together to remove the “thorns” in the society so as to create a better place for the younger generation.
In his message, ZTSBC Pastor Rev Dr. Daniel Chishi asserted the importance of an unbiased and visionary leaders and urged the new team to be unbiased and led the people with vision.
Earlier the programme was chaired by women leader ZTSBC, Anatoli Aye, welcome address was delivered by chairman deacon council, Kihoto Jimo and benediction by home evangelist, Kughu Chishi.
