Dimapur, April 15 (MExN): The Commissioner of Police, Dimapur in an order issued on April 14 has virtually made wearing of masks mandatory in all public places with Dimapur district.
“Wearing of mask in public places including offices; banks; markets and business establishments; restaurants and hotels; public transport; social and religious gathering or meeting, educational institutions shall be strictly adhered to within Dimapur District,” stated the order issued by the Commissioner, Rothihu Tetseo.
Non-compliance of the same shall be penalised with Rs.100 (every time the offence is committed) and enforce by police officer of Assistant Police Sub Inspector rank and above and DCPsI ACPs/ OCs shall ensure strict compliance in respective Areas of Responsibility (AOR), it said.
“Further Inter-State entry into the District by road/ train/ flight without wearing of mask shall be strictly restricted OC West PSI East PSI GRPSI DPR PSI IC Denali New Field/ Khatkhati Check Gates shall ensure compliance” it said.
Concerned Deputy/Assistant Commissioner of Police shall monitor the process, it added.
