‘18th Chozuba AC is developmental deficit constituency’ says Khamo
Kohima, November 17 (MExN): Advisor for Civil Administration Works Division (CAWD) and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo today inaugurated the main water reservoir and water supply at Chozu Basa Village under Phek district.
An update issued by Khamo’s office stated that in his address, Khamo underscored the need for cooperation and support from the people for all round development stating that ‘the 18th Chozuba Assembly Constituency is a developmental deficit constituency’. While stressed on the need for a new vision for the societal survival and progress in this competitive world. He made a fervent appeal for cooperation with the government led by the leadership of Neiphiu Rio for all-round development.
He also advocated a positive mindset, stating that negativism and pessimism are the worst enemies of peace and unity which are the essence of progress and development, while emphasizing the importance of fostering a good society towards progressive society.
Khamo while highlighting the government’s efforts to empower youth through games and sports, he also emphasized on the importance of entrepreneurship which is also a better alternative as a career for success in life.
He congratulated the village for constructing the water tank and supply system and also encouraged the villagers to full advantage of the various government schemes meant for them.
The event included a briefing on the JJM project by Yephuyi Shijo, WATSAN chairman, dedication and thanksgiving prayer by Rev Vesavo Shijo, Pastor CVBC, and an invocation by Vesatolu Keyho from Chozu Basa Baptist Church. The programme was chaired by Ruyosuyi Khusoh, while Nukuyi Khusoh delivered the welcome speech and a folk tune was performed by the Women society of Chozuba village.
