Rising People’s Party (RPP) on Friday alleged that the Technical Education Department (TED) has appointed more candidates as against the post that were advertised on November 26 last year.

In a statement, RPP said that 16 posts of lecturer, 8 posts of demonstrator and 3 posts of Multi Taking Staff (MTS) were advertised in November 26. However, it said that the February 10 ‘selected candidates’ notification had more ‘appointees’ than the actual number of posts advertised (See Table).

Reiterating its earlier statement, RPP said the interview for the posts of lecturers and demonstrators carried out by the TED between February 7-9 should be cancelled, alleging that “all departmental recruitment processes are farcical with the candidates already selected beforehand, and the conduct of written and interview tests are mere formalities to present the picture of ‘fair’ recruitment.”

While stating that the “diabolical character of the TED” was shocking, RPP said it goes without saying that the waiting list candidates will also be absorbed into the department as it has now proved without reasonable doubt that TED has more ‘hidden’ posts than it has actually revealed in public domain.

“What more ample proof was needed of “backdoor appointment?” Only God knows how many relatives of ministers/MLAs/top government officials have been appointed in TED as per the manipulated exam thus depriving thousands of genuine candidates the chance to get gainful employment,” RPP stated.

Alleging that the “so-called” departmental recruitment exercise was illegal, RPP demanded that all results should be declared null and void by the NDPP-BJP-NPF coalition government. It also demanded that the state government constitute a Judicial enquiry headed by a sitting High Court judge to probe the matter.
