Tuensang, August 5 (MExN): A crucial connection to Tuensang district has been disrupted due to the washing away of a culvert on National Highway 202 between Longkhim and Mangaki, caused by incessant rain and the subsequent collapse of the road.
In response, a travel advisory issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Tuensang on August 4 announced that the road is closed for restoration until further notice and advised commuters to use alternative routes.

For those travelling from Tuensang to Kohima, the advisory recommends taking the Tuensang-Yangli-Zunheboto-Kohima route.
Travelers heading to Mokokchung are advised to use either the Tuensang-Yangli-Suruhoto-Longsa route or the Tuensang-Longleng-Changtongya-Mokokchung route, and vice versa.

The movement of heavy vehicles will remain restricted along the Tuensang-Longleng route, as per the advisory.
