Kohima, April 7 (MExN): The Civil Administration Works Division (CAWD) today maintained that it is pushing for the timely completion of administrative hubs in Nagaland with comprehensive inspection of key ongoing infrastructure projects across multiple districts.
On April 4 and 5, a team led by Assistant Chief Engineer (ACE) Er Sungtiba Amer inspected projects in Noklak, Longleng, Shamator, Mokokchung, and Zunheboto. CAWD officials, respective district administrators, contractors, and local government representatives were part of the inspection.
As per a press release, in Noklak, Er Amer expressed concern over the slow pace of work and urged contractors to speed up execution to meet deadlines.
Deputy Commissioner Noklak Arikumba and Chief Judicial Magistrate Kumdilong Kessen joined the CAWD team in inspecting the ongoing construction of the DC Office Complex and District Court building, funded under the State Earmarked Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) and Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS).

In Shamator, the DC Office Complex project was reviewed in the presence of district officials, and the progress was deemed satisfactory, with instructions to complete the final stages promptly, the release said.
The project is targeted for completion and inauguration by November and will be one of the first DC complexes completed under the SASCI initiative, it added.
The G+4 structure features a conference hall accommodating 150–200 people and includes site development works such as boundary fencing and cement concrete (CC) pavement.
The inspection team also visited the Village Guard Training Centre at Shampur, where construction is progressing steadily.
Meanwhile, in Mokokchung, the team, along with DC Thsuvisie Phoji, visited the newly constructed DC Bungalow—a G+1 structure with a basement, which includes a VIP suite, basement parking, a separate driveway, and a barrack.
Funded under SASCI, the bungalow is fully completed and scheduled for inauguration soon.
In Akuluto, in Zunheboto district, CAWD officials and the district administration officers, including DC Rahul Bhanudas Mali, inspected the completed ADC Office Complex, funded under State Earmarked Funds.
The G+2 building, completed within the 36-month timeline, is equipped with Persons with Disabilities-friendly ramps and bathrooms and will house multiple government departments along with a conference hall.
The project was rated satisfactory and is set for inauguration shortly, the release informed, citing Er Amer.
The inspection also included the ongoing construction of the DC Office Complex in Zunheboto, being developed under the State Plan and HUDCO loan assistance.
This G+1 building includes a large conference hall and office spaces for major departments. Assistant Chief Engineer Er Amer stated that the civil works are nearing completion and contractors have been asked to expedite the final touches.
The GA Guest House in Zunheboto, funded under SASCI, was also inspected and is expected to be completed within three months.
Here, Er Amer observed commendable progress of work, the release noted.
Meanwhile, the CAWD department extended its appreciation to the Nagaland State Government led by Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio for their committed support in improving the state’s administrative infrastructure.
The department credited the successful implementation of these projects to funding received under SASCI and State Earmarked Projects, which are strengthening governance and service delivery across districts, it added.
