The Children Ministry & Music Ministry of the Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima (CBCK) today staged Project 2026 Music Recital-I for 2023 batch under the tag ‘Let It Shine’ at CBCK premises.

As the Children Ministry of CBCK prepares to celebrate Golden Jubilee in 2026, the need to enhance the musicality of the children was deeply felt and the idea to start a music school was conceived.

Project 2026 aim to polish and hone the existing pool of talent among the children, to instill value and appreciation for real learning over quick self learning of the present trend, to foster and promote church music, to train and equip performers for the Jubilee celebration in 2026 and to equip and develop musicians and music leaders for the church at large.

Jennifer Veyie said that Project 2026 offers guitar, piano, drum and voice classes for free.

The first recital of 2023 batch, which took place today, included vocal, drum, guitar, piano ensembles and solo performances
