Professional development prog for science teachers commences

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 28 (MExN): The Professional Development Program for Science Teachers commenced on August 25, the inaugural programme for which was graced by Zeneikhonuo Vimero, Director, Department of Science and Technology. 

She stressed on the importance of professional development of teachers, and how the Department of Science and Technology is trying to  help and contribute to the students and teachers community, especially in the science and technological sphere. She encouraged the attendees of the workshop to actively participate and make the best out of the workshop. 

S Md Peershavali, Teacher Developer, Royal Society of Chemistry is the resource person for the workshop. 

Altogether, teachers from 44 different Government and Private schools from Dimapur, Niuland and Chumukedima districts participatied in the Dimapur chapter of the workshop. The Dimapur chapter of the workshop was held on August 25 and 26. The Kohima Chapter is scheduled for August 28 and 29. The workshop is being organised in collaboration with The Royal Society of Chemistry, Bangalore.
