NU faculty engaged as Visiting Professor at Kazakhstan

LUMAMI, JULY 15 (MExN): Prof Ambrish Singh, from the Department of Chemistry at Nagaland University, served as a Visiting Professor at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, Kazakhstan, during June 1-30, 2024. He engaged with PhD and master’s students through lectures and seminars, significantly enhancing their educational experience and expanding their knowledge in Chemistry.

A press release issued by the PRO, Nagaland University informed that Prof Singh delivered lectures to PhD students, encompassing advanced subjects spanning Applied Chemistry, colloid chemistry, analytical chemistry, electroanalytical chemistry, computational chemistry, and electrochemistry.

For master’s students, Prof Singh conducted seminars that fostered interactive discussions and facilitated the exchange of knowledge on current research trends. 

During his tenure, Prof Singh also presented an international seminar that attracted audiences from neighboring universities and the National University of Uzbekistan in Tashkent. His lecture emphasised the academic culture and contributions of Nagaland University.

Following his seminar, Prof Singh visited the National University of Uzbekistan where he explored opportunities for collaborations and joint projects. He engaged with scientists and staff, further promoting academic exchanges between institutions.

Back at Al-Farabi University, Prof Singh reportedly played a pivotal role in establishing an electrochemical lab for applied and analytical Chemistry students, enriching their practical learning experience.
