Dimapur, November 24 (MExN): The Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) has urged the Nagaland PWD (R&B) to release the running bills to the contractors on performance based proportions as agreed upon on July 23, 2022 resolutions.
Stating this in a press release on Wednesday, the NFHRCC said that it had conducted a joint inspection tour of the road that falls under Baghty Division on November 23, on the invitation of the PWD(R&B) led by its Chief Engineer Er Kevide Nakhro and the Addl CE. The motorable Foothills Road contractor firm M/S T Tachu & Co and representatives of Lotha Lower Range CSOs like the LLRPO and YAPO, were also part of the inspection.
The NFHRCC appreciated the Chief Engineer and his team for taking initiatives to visit the road constructions and patiently taking the grievances of all the stakeholders, their suggestions and predicaments in a positive note.
The committee is hopeful that the Department will initiate to inaugurate the ‘historic’ Nagaland’s longest bridge at the Governor’s Camp, Liphanyan at the earliest as the bridge has already been completed, the release stated while thanking the Government of Nagaland and the bridge construction firm M/S L Pukhato Shohe & Sons for completing the bridge in spite of numerous challenges and hiccups over the years.
