DIMAPUR , November 9: Nagaland Education Project (NEP) organised a programme on community awareness and sensitisation at town hall Peren on November 8.
According to a DIPR report, NEP project director and principal director, school education, Shanavas C informed that the mid-day project in Peren had performed commendably.
He appealed to the people to actively participate with attention and cooperation and was confident that Nagaland would bring the changes when the people work together. The project director, while stressing on the aims and objectives including project components said that children results would bear fruit after nine and ten years with constant monitoring. Communication strategy has to play a vital role in the education policy he said. He also sought for support for successful implementation of the project with satisfaction for the generations.
Meanwhile, deputy commissioner (DC) Peren, Sentiwapang Aier in the keynote address stated that for any project to be successful, it depended on the people. The DC urged the gathering to be a model district of the project.
PMU team manager, Visato Koso shared community ownership, investment and collective management.
Earlier, assistant district education officer (ADEO), Limayangla Tzudir chaired the programme while senior SDEO Peren, Bendangsenla Jamir moderated the discussion hour.
