NBCC’s pioneering women pastors conference draws 1,300 delegates

KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 16 (MExN): The Women Department of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) hosted a first of its kind “Women Pastors Conference” from September 11 to 12. Held at the NBCC Convention Centre in Kohima, the event was themed “Experiencing God Together.”

The conference featured a distinguished lineup of speakers including Rev Dr Zelhou Keyho, General Secretary of NBCC; Dr Angukali Rotokha, Langham Scholar and Writer; Rev Talijungla Longkumer, Associate Pastor for Women at Ungma Baptist Arogo; Dr Buno Zetsuvi, Professor in the Department of Education and Director of the Women Studies Centre at Nagaland University, Kohima. The City Church, Kohima, led the praise and worship sessions.

The conference included several notable highlights. A plenary session addressed the topic “Women in ministry: wading through the tide, facing challenges and finding God’s purpose.” Additionally, the event featured a Table Fellowship, a discussion titled “The third dimension: in conversation with our overseas sister-in-law,” and a segment called “experiencing life and people: a real talk with women leaders.” Approximately 1,300 delegates attended the conference.

The Women Department of NBCC, in a press release, expressed gratitude to all the associations and churches under NBCC, as well as families and individuals who provided support financially, physically, and through prayers. Special thanks were also extended to the Association’s Women Secretaries of NBCC, participants, and delegates for their contributions to the success of the conference.
