Dimapur, August 5 (MExN): The Nagaland Pencak Silat Association (NPSA) will be hosting the forthcoming Khelo India Pencak Silat Women’s League 2024 as well as the 7th North East Pencak Silat Championship next year in Dimapur.
These events were some of the focus of discussion of the association’s meeting at the residence of the Association’s Chief Patron, Khehovi Yepthomi, former MLA and Advisor to the Department of Tourism, Government of Nagaland on August 3.
Major agendas set by NPSA President Khevishe Sema related to the current and upcoming activities and future initiatives, informed press release from the association.
The two upcoming NPSA’s organised events are intended to promote and advance the growth of Pencak Silat in the state under the auspices of the Indian Pencak Silat Federation, it said. At the meeting chaired by the Vice-President Hetoi Sema, the association also announced Yepthomi’s appointment as the Chief Patron of North East Pencak Silat Federation.
He appointment was made during the recent 6th North East Pencak Silat Championship 2024 held at Sarusajai Indoor Stadium, Guwahati, Assam.
