Dimapur, September 1 (MExN): Under the chairmanship of MP (Lok Sabha), Tokheho Yepthomi, District Development Coordination Committee (DISHA) and Monitoring Committee held its meeting at the Conference Hall, Commissioner of Taxes, Dimapur on August 31.
During the meeting with the departments, Yepthomi stated, “We need to mend our ways and educate our people, otherwise there will be no development in our State.”
As per a DIPR report Yepthomi expressed ‘he was not satisfied with the departments delaying their works and inability to give specific details and take corrective measures.’
He informed them to seek right information and demand effective follow-up on issues raised during the deliberations. He appealed to the departments to ensure effective and right methods in dealing with the various schemes under each department, and requested to submit all the details latest by September.
Yepthomi appraised the members that other states are going far ahead in development sector while Nagaland is still at the backdrop. He further urged the departments to be more sincere and responsible towards the implementation of all flagship programmes in the district.
Various departments including PHED (Rural) and PHED (Urban), DRDA, PWD (R&B), Horticulture, Education, Agriculture, Social Welfare, Food & Civil Supplies, Lead Bank, Tribal Affairs and Water Resources highlighted their latest activities, achievements of targets of both physical and financial, coverage and performance of CSS in the district.
