Kohima, January 9 (MExN): The department of Rural Development Department organised a farewell programme in honour of outgoing director K Inazhe Phuleshe, addl. Director Toshimongla Kichu and addl director, Taliyanger at RD Conference Hall, Kohima on January 8.
Addressing the gathering, Nagaland’s RD & SIRD minister Metsubo Jamir lauded the outgoing officers for rendering their valuable services to the department for the last 35 years in various capacities.
Maintaining that retirement is not something to be scared of, he called upon the retiring officers to take it as a positive aspect and highlighted on the endless possible activities one can take up after retirement and wished them success in their future endeavours.
Terming it a privilege to be saying farewell to each other, he further called upon all officers to remain humble, tolerant, forgiving and to be kind to one another during their service so as to have a satisfied retirement life.
Outgoing director, K. Inazhe Phuleshe expressed his gratitude to all officers and staffs of the department for their selfless dedication and support throughout his service. He also extended his unwavering cooperation and guidance in whichever capacity he is needed.
Addl. directod (HoD), M. Mongna Konyak also congratulated the outgoing officers for having successfully achieved retirement in good health and for their dedicated service to the department in particular and the rural people in general.
Lamenting that the department has lost three important pillars, she said that the vacuum will be difficult to fill and sought their advice and guidance in the days to come.
Speeches were also delivered by outgoing addl. director, Toshimongla Kichu, addl. secretary, RD, Sangmai C Imlong, director, SIRD, Vesato, addl. director (HoD) RD, M. Mongna Konyak, COO, NSRLM, Rollan Lotha, president, NRDSA, Kupto Achumi, PD, Vihesanuo Solo on behalf of districts and BDO, Heipeuding Ilunglung on behalf of Blocks.
The farewell programme was chaired by addl. director, RD, Narola Imkong and concluded with vote of thanks by joint director, Anenla Jamir. Earlier, RD Superintendent Yangba Chang highlighted the bio-data of the retiring officers.
