Kohima, January 28 (MExN): The Department of Health and Family Welfare has informed all Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) Government Employees and Pensioners (EP) that the permissible reimbursement period for treatment, as per the previous notification dated March 28, 2024 has been extended.
The new reimbursement period has been extended from November 1, 2022 to March 28, 2024, as outlined in a notification dated December 18, 2024.
This extension supersedes the previous period of November 1, 2022 to December 31, 2023, stated a press release issued by Thavaseelan K, IAS, CEO, Nagaland Health Protection Society.
The provisions, terms and conditions are stated here:
1. In case of treatment undertaken after deduction of Medical Allowance from the beneficiary, irrespective of whether the treatment was undertaken in a hospital empanelled under CMHIS or under the old MR scheme, reimbursement for the cost of treatment will fall under CMHIS (EP).
2. For Government employees, if the treatment was undertaken before deduction of Medical Allowance from the beneficiary, irrespective of whether the treatment was undertaken in hospitals empanelled under CMHIS or under the old MR scheme, reimbursement for cost of treatment will fall under the old MR scheme.
3. Reimbursement for both SI. No 1 and SI. No. 2 is subject to the following terms and conditions: a) The cost of treatment shall be considered for reimbursement as per the approved CMHIS (EP) Health Benefit Package rate or as recommended by the State Medical Committee constituted under the NHPS. b) Reimbursement shall be permissible for treatment undergone w.e.f November 1, 2022 to March 28, 2024 only.
Claim Submission Process
To submit reimbursement claims, all concerned individuals are required to upload their applications along with supporting documents on the Official CMHIS portal at: https://cmhis.nagaland.gov.in/.
