Nagaland: First phase of launching Entrepreneurship Development Centre

Kohima, September 17 (MExN): The first phase of launching Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) started with Peren and Tuensang districts. Startup Nagaland and the Department of Industry and Commerce will be the nodal agency to monitor the functions of the EDC. 

Alemtemshi Jamir, CEO IDAN in the presence of Renny Wilfred, Joint Secretary IDAN, Kekhrievor Kevichusa, Commissioner & Secretary Industries & Commerce and Keneirienuo Kire, Asst Director, Industries & Commerce presented a cheque to initiate the start of EDC at IDAN office Kohima on September 14. 

EduCentre School of Business has been nominated as the implementing agency for EDC in colleges. EduCentre Founder, Lezo Putsure was invited for the cheque handling over where the first sanction was given.

It may be mentioned that as part of the CSR Investment and Business Conclave held in Kohima on August 22, the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced the launch of Entrepreneurship Development Centres (EDC) especially in colleges across all districts of Nagaland.
