Nagaland DCC Presidents attend key congress meeting in New Delhi

NEW DELHI, MARCH 29 (MExN): The All India District Congress Committee (DCC) Presidents’ Meeting, convened by the AICC was held on March 27 at Indira Bhawan, New Delhi. Eight DCC Presidents from Nagaland represented the state in this crucial pan India grassroot party workers convention.

Kutoho Chishi, President of the Dimapur District Congress Committee, addressed the gathering by underscoring the critical agendas required to fortify the Congress party’s grassroots presence and its efforts at tackling pressing socio-economic challenges of the times, stated a press statement issued by the NPCC Communications Department.

During the address, he emphasized the need for enhanced training and resource allocation to empower booth-level agents, ensuring robust electoral preparedness. He also advocated for inclusive policies to engage young leaders and women in decision-making roles, fostering a dynamic and equitably balanced party structure and hierarchy.

He further highlighted the urgency for the promotion of skill development and job creation initiatives to alleviate the scourge of unemployment plaguing the nation today, urging the party leadership to prioritize it in its national agenda.

The meeting concluded with a unanimous resolution to implement actionable plans discussed, ensuring closer coordination between state units and the central leadership.
