Nagaland Cabinet meets Shah, discusses several issues

New Delhi, November 22 (MExN): Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, along with his Cabinet colleagues, met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence in New Delhi on November 21 and discussed various important issues.

The meeting covered a range of topics, including the Naga political issue, the Eastern Nagaland political issue, matters related to the Nagaland-Assam border, and key development projects in the state, informed a press release from the PRO Nagaland House New Delhi.

TR Zeliang Deputy Chief Minister, Planning and National Highways; Y Patton Deputy Chief Minister, Home; Temjen Imna Along Minister, Tourism and Higher Education; Metsubo Jamir Minister, Rural Development;  CL John Minister, Environment, Forests and Climate Change; and Salhoutuonuo Kruse Minister,  Horticulture were present at the meeting. 

The Nagaland Cabinet reportedly left for Delhi on Monday, with the Naga political issue as the main focus, following the recent statement by the NSCN (IM) regarding the continuation of the ceasefire with the Government of India. 

On November 23, CM Rio, along with Deputy CMs Patton and Zeliang, also met Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman.
