Nagaland’s COVID-19 caseload increased to 22,240 on Thursday with 168 new cases, reported from the districts of Dimapur (51), Kohima (43), Tuensang (24), Wokha (12), Phek (11), Mokokchung (9), Zunheboto (6), Peren (5), Kiphire (4), Mon (2) and one in Longleng.
According to the Nagaland COVID-19 bulletin issued by the State Health and Family Welfare department, 80 out of the new cases on Thursday were detected from self-test or random tests while 79 were traced contacts. Returnees/travelers and Armed forces/security personnel accounted for one case each while 7 were Frontline workers.
As per the bulletin, the total number of recoveries in the State increased from 16,205 to 16,489 which indicated a total of 284 recoveries.
There are 4711 active cases in Nagaland at present, out of which 195 are currently admitted in the COVID hospital while 4250 are under home isolation, as per the COVID-19 bulletin.
Meanwhile, the State also recorded 5 deaths on June 3, with 4 reported in Dimapur and 1 death reported in Phek which took the death tally to 391.
