Mokokchung, August 25 (MExN): The Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT) has endorsed the representation submitted by the four Youth Associations – Majakong Ward Youth Association, Penli Ward Youth Association, Lijaba Lijen Ward Youth Association and Artang Ward Youth Association– to the concern authority demanding the immediate repair of the approach roads leading to the only district hospital, IMDH.
The MTLT fully endorse the representation and ask the concern authorities to take the public demand seriously and initiate immediate necessary action. “It is needless to say that the IMDH remains the first referral point for a majority of patients in Mokokchung town and even beyond. The IMDH is also the biggest healthcare institution in the district where a majority of patients seek and get medical help,” MTLT President, Imnaonen Pongen and General Secretary, Imkongchuba Pongnen stated in a press release.
It stated that under such circumstances, it is appalling to note the apathetic attitude of the concern authorities for turning a blind eye and leaving the approach roads – one from Sewak Gate and the other from Police Point to IMDH – neglected for so long. It is totally unacceptable and no excuse can justify such apathy.
The MTLT, while fully supporting the submitted representation, encouraged the four Associations to remain steadfast in their demand. The MTLT supports the demand of the four Youth Associations and declare that we will render all possible support in the just demand of the public, it added.
