Mr India International Merenzungba Longkumer returns to warm welcome

After successfully attaining the prestigious title of Mr India International 2022, Merenzungba Longkumer landed in Dimapur on May 15, where he was given a warm reception at Dimapur airport by members of his family, village and colony organisations.

Later on speaking to The Morung Express at his residence in Chümoukedima, Longkumer shared his experience by saying that the contest was tough yet enriching at the same time. “It was for five days beginning from May 9 and the finale was held on May 13. I enjoyed a lot, but it was challenging as well because the other contestants were good and hardworking in their own way so I’ve learnt a lot due to it,” he remarked.

Furthermore, he felt overwhelmed by the achievement he had attained and said that he is thankful to “each and every individual who have helped me and supported me, physically, mentally and morally throughout the journey.”

Besides the people who supported him, Longkumer said that, “I fell so blessed that God has placed me in this position and I believe that someone will be inspired through what I’ve achieved today.”

For his next event wherein he will be representing India in the Mr International category, he admitted that, “I’m really excited and I have a lot of preparing to do. So I just pray and hope that I do well in this upcoming event.”

It may be mentioned that Merenzungba Longkumer is also the winner of Mr Dimapur 2021, through which he obtained a direct entry into the Mr India International contest.

The Mr World Heritage, 2022 will be held during the month of June this year where contenders from across different continents will compete for the title in a host of different categories.
