Union Minister of State (MoS) for Tribal Affairs, Durgadas Uikey, is scheduled for a three-day visit to Nagaland starting January 13.
During the visit, he is expected to interact with a cross-section of society and particularly tour Kiphire, designated as an “Aspirational District” by the NITI Aayog.
As per the ‘tour programme’ of the MoS shared by the local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit on X (formerly Twitter), he will arrive at Dimapur Airport on Monday and proceed to Kiphire by flight.
In Kiphire, he is scheduled to hold a meeting with local leaders at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall in the early afternoon.
A presentation on the progress and challenges of the Aspirational Districts Programme/Aspirational Blocks Programme (ADP/ABP) will follow, along with a meeting with administrative officials.
A ‘meeting and dialogue’ with BJP party workers and office bearers is scheduled to cap the first day.
MoS Uikey is “going to make remarkable history of meeting & dialogue with BJP party workers & office bearers” during his official tour programme at Kiphire District on January 13, posted the BJP Kiphire District unit on Sunday on X.
On the second day, MoS Uikey is likely to meet teachers and visit a smart classroom in Kiphire.
A review of Tribal Affairs Department projects is also on the cards, along with a visit to District Hospital Kiphire.
Later, the MoS is scheduled to visit Amahator Town, where he will visit a food processing unit and interact with Self-Help Group beneficiaries, among other engagements.
The second day’s tour programme also includes visits to the Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) in Phalange and the Government Higher Secondary School in Kiphire.
The MoS is expected to return to Dimapur Airport on the third day and visit an EMRS school in Diphupar before flying back to Delhi to conclude the tour.
