Longleng, May 5 (MExN): The Longleng District Task Force has decided to conduct random screening tests for ‘high risk groups’ including shopkeepers, drivers/operators of, bus/taxis, road construction workers, and hotel/ restaurant employees.
The decision, among others, was taken during an emergency meeting with all DTF members and stakeholders, a DIPR report stated on Tuesday.
According to the report, it was also decided that the DTF would continue enforcing COVID-19 appropriate behaviours in Longleng town and the DBs and Village Guards (VGs) shall assist and coordinate with Police personnel for duty. The rosters for duty shall be prepared by the respective department. It was also decided that food expenditure for medical, police/ VGs personnel assigned to CCC and COVID-19 hospital duties shall be tentatively borne by the DTF on a basis of Rs 300 per person.
The VGs shall be activated to check and monitor the movement of unknown person in all the villages and immediately report the same to the authorities, it added.
Any public events/ gathering /festivities has been prohibited in the district and for the purpose of conducting wedding ceremonies, prior approval (15 days advance) of the DTF would be required. Additionally, religious places/places of worship outside the containment zone will be permitted to open, subject to a maximum limit of 30% of the total capacity of the hall/building of any point of time or 100 people, whichever is lower, and with strict adherence to all the provisions of SOPs, it stated.
The DTF also decided that the entry/check gate situated at Shetab and Yonglok under Tamlu circle shall be looked after by the concerned respective administrative and police officers.
The new venue for the daily local market has been shifted to the Public Ground, Longleng town with immediate effect until further notice and a fine of Rs 200 would be imposed on anyone who is found not correctly wearing masks in the public places, work places and during transport.
Further, all the colony/ward presidents and chairpersons have been directed to keep vigil and to promptly report any COVID-19 related incidents to the authorities.
Longleng SBI sealed
In view of detection of COVID-19 positive case at State Bank of India (SBI) Longleng, the branch which is located at High School Ward has been declared as Sealed Area for a period of 48 hours with immediate effect, in order to control the spread of disease/infections and for necessary contact tracing.
According to a notification issued through the DIPR, all movement of persons in the sealed area is strictly prohibited and shall remain under active surveillance with immediate effect until further notice.
