Nov 7 (Agencies) : Latvian Ambassador to India, Artis Bertulis and wife along with resources persons Prof. Egils Jakobsons, Prof. Inita Kamarute and Prof. Gints Ceplenieks from Rigas Doma Kora Skola, Latvia arrived Dimapur on Saturday for the four-day intensive workshop on choir conducting and voice from the November 8-11 for musicians of Nagaland at Mountain Music Academy, Dimapur.
The workshop which is organised by the Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA) in partnership with Latvian Embassy and coordinated by the Mountain Music Academy, Dimapur includes various activities that would be taken up in the four-day programme.
Activities include master classes; techniques; individual lessons; live performances; live choir sessions and many more.
The programme would culminate with a finale concert at RCEMPA, Jotsoma, Kohima on November 13.
In a press release, project director TaFMA, Dr. Hovithal Sothu acknowledged the ambassador and state chief minister Neiphiu Rio for making the programme a reality.
